I had a great laugh yesterday.
Tears filled my eyes as I laughed, resting my head on my right arm, which on a table, my forearm covering my face.
It was absolutely hilarious!
I found myself chatting with a stranger who was seated across from my youngest son and me.
I was taking care of my son while my wife attended a meeting at her office in Metro City.
The conversation started when the stranger asked my son how old he was.
My son, being a bit shy around new people, just stayed quiet.
So, I answered for him.
From there, our conversation bounced from one topic to another.
Once he learned that I was 'from' Kampung **** ****, he began dropping names.
He claimed to have organized several youth activities in the village.
We both knew that the youth there have a bit of a reputation for being involved in gang activities and drugs, among other things.
After he finished sharing his experiences with the village youth, I asked him, "Is it possible to change the youth in the village?"
Without a moment's hesitation, he replied, "No!"
I couldn’t help but burst into uncontrollable laughter.
I figured since he was so eager to tell me about his work with the youth, he might actually believe in their potential for change.
But it turned out he had no faith that the youth could evolve into a better generation.
I’m not from the village myself, but my wife is, so I have a good grasp of the local dynamics.
His "No" response wasn’t all that surprising; I just found it amusing how confidently he had boasted about his involvement with the youth.
Lucu nar juak 😂😂😂
Insyallah, mana-mana yang berantu dolok or now, sidak akan berubah to be good people di masa hadapan.
